NO SKIN IN THE GAME!!!

Thats why I hate the traditional concept of a “consultant”…

There is a brilliant book called “skin in the game” written by Nassim Taleb!

In it he outlines the disproportionate risk to reward ratio often found amongst the traditional concept of a “consultant”

LET ME EXPLAIN…

I have coaches – a lot of them. I was taught that a coach without a coach is not a coach…LET THAT SINK IN!

How incongruent to ask others to pay for your “coaching” but your not prepared to do that yourself RIGHT!

I toured and shared the stage for three weeks with Robert Kiyosaki last year, and yes he has coaches, so does Tony Robbins!

I digress, In his book, Taleb goes on to show how some of the biggest crashes etc and worst pieces of advice given are more often than not…given by people who have no “skin in the game”

Meaning the consequences of the advice, actually have very little bearing on their own lives because…

They are JUST consultants and don't actually run a “for example” practice anymore!

We find a similar scenario in the banking world – HUGE REWARDS AND BONUSES with very little consequences for the advice and actions…..

SO HOW DO YOU “GET AROUND” KNOWING WHO'S ADVICE TO TAKE???

THIS IS GOLD!

Take the advice from the person with the MOST RISK!

The person that personally has A LOT of skin in the game because 9 times out of 10 that person wins because quite frankly THEY DON'T HAVE A CHOICE…

THEY GOTTA MAKE IT WORK !

Thats the person you wanna take advice from!
